    • • Studied medicine at Sydney University, earning honors and prizes in biochemistry and clinical medicine
    • • Served as a Prosector in Anatomy
  • 1957-1960: Early Career
    • • Resident Medical Officer and Medical Registrar at Royal North Shore Hospital
    • • Medical Registrar at St. Vincent's Hospital
  • 1961: Sydney Hospital
    • • Joined the Dialysis Unit, the only one in New South Wales
    • • Performed over 100 dialysis sessions and managed acute renal failure cases
  • 1963-1965: Georgetown University Hospital, Washington D.C.
    • • Joined the Renal Unit under Professor George E. Schreiner
    • • Conducted pioneering research on the effects of angiotensin on renal function
  • 1966-1979: LIONS Renal Research Laboratory, Brisbane
    • • Founded and led the laboratory with funding from LIONS Clubs and other organizations
    • • Discovered key roles of angiotensin in electrolyte transport and kidney function

  • 1979-2005: Clinical Practice in Brisbane
    • • Established a practice at Brisbane Clinic and Wesley Hospital
    • • Consultant for the Renal Unit at Royal Brisbane Hospital
    • • Initiated peritoneal dialysis and the first private dialysis unit in Brisbane
    • • Served on the Ethics Committee and as Chairman of the Medical Advisory Committee at Wesley Hospital
    • • Emeritus Fellow of Wesley Hospital in 2003

    • • Published significant reviews on Pseudohypoaldosteronism Type 2 in Hypertension and Kidney International
